marched to the north with the Duke of Gloucester, afterwards Richard III, and Lord Stanley, and was made a knight banneret by the latter at Hutton Field in 1482.

The Cumberland visition has his as Robert, not Richard.
18 Aug.1483 He wasone of those ordered to attend Richard at Pontefract on the 26th.

left 20 marks toward repairing Low church, showing this branch of the Langtons and those of Lowe, were clearly still on close terms.
In addition, on his death, the Langton feoffees apointed Thomas Langton apparently of Lowe, and Brother of Gilbert as Rector of Wigan in 1504. Clearly this is not his Son as the Rector dies in 1506.
