Children:

1.
man Francis John Langton‏‎ #46690
Born ‎29 Oct 1907 Toogoolawah, Queensland, Australia, died ‎8 Oct 1996 Dalby, Queensland, Australia‎, 88 years
Frank Langton was raised on the Langton family property at Gilla, mid-way between Blackbutt and
Yaraman.
Irene Cuddihy was raised on 'Fernvale' Yamsion.
Frank married Irene Cuddihy in 1935 and they settled in Kaimkillenbun where they built a home
opposite the school house. Frank worked as the local Shell Petroleum fuel agent. Their three
children Fay(b 1936), Bernie (b 1937) and Terry (b 1941) were born in Dalby while Frank and Irene
lived at Kaimkillenbun.
The family moved to Blackbutt c1947 where they built a new house and purchased a block of land
to construct a slaughter house. Having built stock yards on the block Frank changed his mind and
did notpursue a career in butchering.
After only a year or two in Blackbut the family moved to Yamsion where they leased a dairy farm
and remained for approximately three years.
Frank and Irene then purchased a property on top of the Bunya Mountains in1951 from Reg
Cullen. Only about 40 acres of the property - a portion known as 'Ross' Forest' - was somewhat
suited to grazing but it too had a light cover of eucalypt forest which Frank, Bernie and Terry
proceeded to clear. They also cleared large areas of rainforest (scrub) on the property and planted
Kikuyu grass to expand the grazing areas.
The National Parks Service sought and secured a 'land swap' with Frank whereby they obtained a
portion of rainforest adjacent to the National Park in exchange for some forestry land at 'Saddletree
Creek'.
Frank and Rene ran beef and dairy cattle until the property was sold to Frank Unwin in 1975.
Frank Langton then purchased a property at Tara and a house in Nicholson Street, Dalby. Irene
moved into the Dalby house while Frank lived at Tara. Irene later moved from Nicholson Street to
Moy Street Dalby.
Frank owned the property at Tara for just a few years before purchasing and living on a property at
Irvingdale. His son Terry and his family lived on the same property in a separate dwelling.
Irene developed Alzheimer´s disease and after a long illness passed away at Karingal Nursing
Home in Dalby.
Frank left the Irvingdale property when his health began to fail and lived with the families of sons
Bernie and Terry until he was hospitalised. He died in Dalby Hospital.
