    Berkshire Branch

    "

We have seen no other evidence of this branch, or the location of Langtonwick, in Berkshire. However, it is detailed in Bernard Burke's General Armory of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

Looks similar to the Lincolnshire shields. Quarterly with a bend, the colours are different, though we have seen the same change in colour in the arms of the Langton of Teeton, Northamptonshire, who definately originate from Lincolnshire.

    Another Berkshire branch

We know nothing of this branch, only that they are mentioned in a source of Langton shields, and are attributed to Berkshire. We know of several Berkshire Langtons, though do not know if this is the their shield or not.

    DNA and Shield Linking

We hope to be able to link the various Y chromosome DNA results to coats of arms, so that you can use your DNA test results to identify which coat of arms are yours! We do need your help with this though, we need your DNA results, check out the DNA articles here.
